It was the month of January 2020 when I first heard about the Coronavirus. Although it was 31st December when China recognized Coronavirus. But I heard about it a few days later. People were talking about the fact that there is a virus in China that affected many people.
It was really bad news but no one knew that the virus is going to spread rapidly. And so many people will be affected by it.
But gradually it began to spread beyond China. Now, as I write this article, more than 50 countries have been infected with the virus. And there is a kind of fear spread among people. So I felt the need to tell people.
that should we really fear that much?.
Especially the way the media is spreading fear to people. Is the virus just as dangerous?
I will share all the details with you, but before that, let me tell you a little bit about the Coronavirus.
What Is Coronavirus?
Coronavirus is a family of viruses that basically moves from an animal to a human. And then begins to move from one human to another.
The Coronavirus is not new, this one is the fifth type of coronavirus since 1960. This is a brand new type of coronavirus. Earlier WHO even didn’t get a chance to give it a name. According to the latest updates, it is now called Covid-19.
The cause of this current coronavirus is also an animal but it is not yet known which animal.
What are The Symptoms of Coronavirus?
Symptoms of almost all forms of coronavirus are the same, but the interesting thing is that common cold is also a type of coronavirus.
And all the symptoms of this new Coronavirus are similar to the common cold. Symptoms such as nasal congestion, headache, not breathing easily and fever are symptoms of Coronavirus.
Now to find out if I have a common cold or coronavirus, you need a laboratory test.
But I’ve heard from a trusted source that most coronavirus patients difficulty breathing and have a dry cough that doesn’t contain mucus. If you have a cough containing mucus, you don’t need to worry too much. And to find out if it’s a coronavirus or a common cold, it takes 14 days.
That is, if anyone has symptoms of the coronavirus and is suspicious, he or she will be isolated from other people for 14 days.
According to WHO “ Most estimates of the incubation period for COVID-19 range from 1-14 days, most commonly around five days. These estimates will be updated as more data become available.”
After 14 days, doctors can know if the patient has coronavirus or not.
What should I do with coronavirus If I have symptoms?
First of all, it is important to understand that no disease is good for our health. Every disease is harmful to our health, but some diseases cause us less harm and some more.
There is no doubt that the coronavirus is more dangerous than other diseases.
According to WHO precautions should be taken to prevent this. I am sharing some just like
- Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
- Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
So that was a little about coronavirus, its symptoms, and precautions.
Now I will come to my main point and it is about the fear that media is spreading among people all around the world.
Media Is doing…
After watching the tv and social media, no one feels safer. Everyone knows that coronavirus is a threat, but fear is not the solution. Just tell about the precautions which are important to be safe.
But unfortunately, the media is only focusing on the black side of the picture.
As a result…
People are already scared. They even don’t know what should they do and what will surely save them from the infection.
When you mentally weaken and frighten someone before the enemy arrives, He will only get defeated by the enemy.
So I don’t think this role of the media is appropriate. It is true that the media keeps telling us precautionary measures too, but what the media is paying close attention to is scaring people.
You will survive!
First of all, let’s understand that the Coronavirus patients won’t die 100%, instead, its mortality rate is only two percent, according to the World Health Organization.
“About 2% of people with the disease have died”.
There is 98% of the chance to survive. The other thing is that most of those affected by the Coronavirus are those whose health and immune systems are already weak.
That is, if your immune system is strong, your chances of recovery are high. But the media is ignoring it and discouraging people. Secondly, in countries where the young population is high, no case has been reported or the case reported has been cured.
That’s why with a strong defense system, you can absolutely cope with Coronavirus.
But do you think you should be scared if you are weak?
If you have high blood pressure?
No, you shouldn’t be scared.
Two things are very important to compete with every disease
- Mental Strength
- Immune system
That is if you stay mentally strong and motivated it has a direct impact on your immune system.
So keep yourself satisfied and be mentally strong. Do not let fear and discomfort take place in your heart and mind at all.
This does not mean you should not be careful, but rather be mentally strong and physically careful.
Secondly, if your defense system is weak, you still don’t have to worry.
You can also improve your immune system through treatment right away.
You only have to get timely checkups if you have symptoms. If you have any doubts, start treatment immediately.
There are many medicines that completely strengthen our immune system against disease. If you get timely treatment, you have a 98% chance of survival.
In China, for example, 36000 people have recovered from this disease so far, but you won’t see this much on the media. This is a very positive sign for all the world and china.
So we have to focus on two things
- We have to avoid fear and discomfort
- Avoid spreading rumors
Never spread the news that is unverified. Don’t listen to anyone else’s rumors. It will not benefit but there will be a loss. Soon it will be overcome. And share this article with others as well so everyone would feel motivated.
