Metamask is a crypto wallet that is popular for buying, selling, and storing Ethereum blockchain-based crypto tokens.

However, this does not mean that you cannot connect other networks to this wallet.

You can add other networks like polygons to metamask and all the tokens of the polygon network.

To connect other networks like polygon, you need to add some basic information to the Metamask wallet.

In this article, I will show you how to connect the Polygon network to the metamask step by step.

How To Add Polygon To MetaMask?

Toad polygon network to the Metamask wallet, you need to add information such as custom RPC URLs, chain IDs, and network names. 

Let’s get started.

Step 1- Open MetaMAsk Wallet

Open and log in to Metamask wallet in your browser or on the mobile app.

Then click on the account option, which is a circle icon, and go to ‘settings.’

Step 2- Select Networks

After clicking on the settings, select ‘networks.’

Step 3- Click On ‘Add Network’

Next, click on ‘add network’ button that is shown at the button.

Step 4- Add Information of Polygon Network

Once you have clicked on the ‘add network’ option, you will be taken to a new window where you will need to put the following information:

Network Name: Polygon

New RPC URL (Choose any of the following):

https://polygon-rpc.com

https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com 

Chain ID:137

Currency symbol: MATIC

Block Explorer URLs https://polygonscan.com

You are successfully connected to the polygon network.

Step 4- Confirm Polygon On MetaMAsk

You will see a message from Metamask at the bottom such as:

‘Polygon network was successfully added’.’

Along with that, you will see the Matic token standard that shows that you have successfully added the Polygon to Metamask.
