How to Add Avalanche Network to Metamask?

How to Add Avalanche Network to Metamask?
This is a step-by-step guide that will show you how to add the Avalanche network (Avalanche ) to the Metamask wallet in simple steps.
Metamask is a crypto wallet that is popular for buying, selling, and storing Ethereum blockchain-based crypto tokens.
The wallet has now crossed 21 million users and is widely popular.
You can connect it to any platform that is based on the Ethereum blockchain by default.
However, this does not mean that you can not connect other networks to this wallet.
You can add other networks like Avalanche to Metamask and all the tokens of the Avalanche network.
Avalanche network is also used as a platform for developing custom blockchains and decentralized apps. You can call it another Ethereum as it works similarly to Ethereum and Polygon networks.
To connect Metamask to other networks like Avalanche, you need to some basic information to the Metamask wallet.
In this article, I will show you how to connect the Avalanche network to the Metamask step by step.

What Is Avalanche Network?
Avalanche network is created by AVA Labs. Avalanche is an open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications.
It is a blockchain platform that is a smart contract capable same as Binance Smart Chain.
The Avalanche network aims to provide a solid platform to build fast, low-cost, Solidity-compatible decentralized applications.
How To Add Avalanche Network To Metamask?
To add the Avalanche network to the Metamask wallet, you need to add information such as custom RPC URLs, chain IDs, and network names.
It requires a couple of minutes to complete this process and add the Avalanche network to the Metamask wallet.
Let’s dive right in!
Step 1- Open Metamask Wallet
Open and log in to your Metamask wallet in your browser or on the mobile app.
Then click on the account option, which is a circle icon, and go to ‘settings.’
Step 2- Select Networks
After clicking on the settings, select ‘networks.’
Step 3- Click On ‘Add Network’
Next, click on the ‘add network’ button that is shown on the button.
Step 4- Add Information about Avalanche Network
Once you have clicked on the ‘add network’ option, you will be taken to a new window where you will need to put the following information:
Network Name: Avalanche Network
New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
Chain ID:43114
Currency symbol: AVX
Block Explorer URLs: https://snowtrace.io
You are successfully connected to the Avalanche network.
Step 4- Confirm Avalanche On Metamask
You will see a confirmation message from Metamask at the bottom such as:
‘Avalanche network was successfully added’.’
Along with that, you will see the AVAX token standard that shows that you have successfully added the Avalanche to Metamask.
